Returning Here After Long Absence

Hello. I’m back. Another long absence, my last time here was on January 29 of 2021. A whole year. Well, it’s been a difficult year.

So here’s what’s been going on. In February I had another situation with my arms and muscle weakness, similar to what I experienced in early 2015. That affects my ability to do this writing at the keyboard here. I do exercise every day, but I am getting close to 60 now.

Back in 2015, I learned that the problem was because of magnesium deficiency, and getting supplemental magnesium resolved that problem. This time the issue had been the supplements suddenly being not as good as they were. That happened from time to time but in February a year ago I guess that particular bottle of magnesium pills was totally useless.

These magnesium supplements are just not reliable. I’ve written a lot about magnesium and magnesium supplements here. The reason I need them is because of my ulcerative colitis I can’t eat certain things including the main sources for magnesium, those being vegetables, most of which I can’t have because of insoluble fiber.

Anyway, with various different supplements I have more or less resolved the muscle weakness this time around.

Besides all that stuff, I had to deal with an ingrown toenail, that was actually growing inward in the base part of the nail in one corner. It’s usually in the sides. So I had to have the whole nail removed, and that was in October. I know, I don’t have to write or type stuff with my toes, but it certainly was a distraction.

Other distractions here included my building hallways getting painted and new carpeting in the hallways and stairs. And the time consuming annoyance of getting my driver’s license renewed, which this time required that I submit my birth certificate for proof of U.S. citizenship. Getting that birth certificate was a huge problem. But that was finally resolved.

But I think that a major thing getting in the way of my being motivated to write here has been this ongoing Covid crap. I had written a lot about that here, and I can’t believe that fiasco continues now for nearly 2 years.

And it’s somewhat depressing and discouraging, how so many people believe the crap about masks, and drugs that are being pushed as vaccines but aren’t real vaccines and aren’t preventing infections or preventing people getting Covid from other people.

Worse than all that is the outright fascism going on, with “vaccine passports,” like in New York City and now Boston and other cities. You have to show proof of “being vaccinated” even though people are not vaccinated in the real meaning of the word. You can still get Covid, you can still spread it. So there’s no REASON to have to show proof of something when showing proof is supposedly showing that you are not a “threat” to others.

The growing irrationality of America now, and other countries that are even worse in their zany fascist policies, is actually really frightening now. This is reminding me of what I have learned about mid-20 Century history now. Yes, it looks like it might get that bad.

But I don’t want to write about Covid here anymore. I’ve written enough. I’ve tried to bring facts, common sense and rationality to the table. So, there are other issues to write about, such as magnesium and nutritional supplements. And I hope to return more frequently than once per year, I hope.
